Zone Leader

Emily photo The Habitation Youth Zone is headed up by Emily Buckley. Emily is 24 and has been a Christian for as long as she can remember. She is part of a large, predominantly female, family – she has four sisters – so it's a good job family is something she holds very close. Emily is a children's nurse and has a great passion for seeing young people rise up to find their identity and purpose in God and to help them become whole. She's involved in mentoring many different girls and balances all this with a healthy passion for chocolate! And as if that wasn’t enough, she also enjoys having fun, being loud and laughing outrageously.

Habitation has a vibrant and energetic vibe. The focus is on raising mature sons and daughters who are confident in their identity and purpose and passionate about their King. "God debates" are held regularly and offer a chance for the youth to ask any questions they want about God. WWW. evenings are nights full of Wild, Worship and Word where all three tribes meet together and explore God together in a different kind of set up. The individual tribes also meet together for a more intimate time of building friendships and finding out more about their faith. Laughter and games are core elements to this zone, with the girls finding their fun with make-over days, shopping trips and ice skating. Adventure weekends are hosted for the boys, who also enjoy DJ nights. For more, visit the Habitation website.

Three different youth groups make up the Habitation Youth Zone, namely:

Cocoon photo

Cocoon: This is for 12 to 14-year-olds who meet for fun, friendship and to learn more about living life skilfully.

photo Girls

Girl's Tribe: Led by Lowri and Faith, this is for girls aged between 15 and 18-years-old who explore life together, can be part of a mentoring scheme and meet to learn more about their faith.

photo Boys

Boy's Tribe: Led by Johnny and Avril, this is for boys aged between 15 and 18-years-old who meet to build solid friendships and share with leaders who spend time with them, helping them through their teenage years.

All the groups meet between 7.30pm and 9.30pm at various locations. For more information email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Other activities covered by the youth zone include:

Girls Mentoring - The idea behind girls mentoring is to give girls of secondary school age (Cocoon and Girl’s Tribe) a 'big sister' in Jubilee. Mentors are a step ahead, someone to listen, ask questions and ultimately to direct the girls towards Jesus. They meet once a month.

Masada

Masada Summer Camp - For one week every summer young people from all over the UK descend upon the Kent countryside for teaching, fun and general craziness. The leaders are united by their vision to see young people living life to the full. Open to anyone aged between 13 and 18, Masada is high-energy, high-impact and highly noisy, so be prepared!
