Jubilee Church Maidstone

On June 11th for a weekend, Zoe Life Zone went away together camping...

It was a wonderful time of fellowship, fun and as we say in Jubilee…"Doing life together".

By the time we started pitching our tents on the Friday evening the weather had turned warm and dry, and the start of glorious sunshine, which lasted the whole time we were there.

Forty campers pitched up and more arrived as day visitors for Saturday and Sunday. We loved it, the walks in the poppy fields, the breathtaking views, the amazing treasure hunt which took us around the countryside of Kent, a fantastic barbecue and in the evening a leisurely walk into the village to watch the football on the flat screen in the local watering hole.

A weekend to remember, which moments do we best take away, perhaps the walk on the Sunday to the lake and disused church building to break communion together, or perhaps home made cakes delivered by Trevor and Rene on the Sunday lunchtime to each of us, or maybe it was the sitting drinking hot chocolate under the stars together on the Friday night…thanks to all who were there and to everyone who made it happen. We look forward to next year.
